MSR – Kane Brown – Experiment

So today on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I am going to talk about the new album from country music superstar Kane Brown.  This cd was titled “Experiment” and was released on Friday November 9th, 2018.  There are 12 track on this new album.  But now we are going to talk about Kane Brown’s career a little.

Kane Brown has released huge songs like “Heaven”, “Better place”, and his big hit with his friend Lauren Alaina, “What ifs”.  Lauren Alaina, we remember from her big hit “Road less traveled”.  Kane Brown really started his career in country after being discovered on Youtube.  But he has truly earned his place toward the top which is where he has been going lately.  Now a little about this album.

Kane Brown has 2 number ones on my MSR (Midnight Star Report), which is my weekly country music countdown with the help of both GAC (Great American Country), & CMT (Country Music Television).  Kane Brown’s number have been “What ifs”, & “Lose it” which is his lead single from this new album.  Other songs Kane had released on The Highway (Channel 56 on Sirius XM), were “Homesick”, & “Weekend”.  And I feel “Homesick” is truly one of the stand out tracks from this new album.  Another stand out track is “American bad dream” which shows Kane Brown what he feels about the way things are going in America.  And other track you should check out is “Short skirt weather” and “It ain’t you it’s me”.  Here is the track list now.

1. Baby come back to me.
2. Good as you.
3. Lose it.
4. It ain’t you it’s me.
5. Short skirt weather.
6. Homesick.
7. Weekend.
8. Work.
9. One night only.
10. My where I come from.
11. American bad dream.
12. Live forever.

And that’s a wrap for the track listing now.  And on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I would give this album  a 4.5 out of 5 stars.  To listen and give a review to an album you have to have an open mind.  And Kane Brown is really one of the best things in country music.  And there isn’t a song on this album that didn’t fit.  It is very well-rounded and was very enjoyable.  Thanks for taking the time to read this review.  See ya all next time.

MSR – Eric Church – Desperate Man

So today on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I will be talking about the latest album from country music superstar Eric Church.  This cd was titled “Desperate Man” and was released on October 5th, 2018 Friday.  There are 11 tracks on this album and all were co-written by Eric himself.

Now a little about what we may remember from Eric Church.  Eric Church has two number ones on the MSR (Midnight Star Report) which is my list that combines both GAC (Great American Country), CMT (Country Music Television), and lastly I make the final decisions on the matters.  Those number 1s have been “Record year”, & “Round here buzz”.  Also his hit “Kill a word” made a strong showing on the weekly list.  Now to this album.

Songs that we know from this album is of course the title track “Desperate man” which has made it to the top ten on my weekly list as of right now.  His next single could be “Heart like a wheel” which Eric is always good at showing us what all he can do and especially on his “Double down” tour where he has no opening act again.  "Hippie radio" pays tribute to songs like “Carry on my wayward son”, & “Cats in the cradle and a silver spoon”.  I think the stand out tracks are “Some of it”, & “Solid”.  And here is the track list now.

Track list.
1. The snake.
2. Hangin’ around.
3. Heart like a wheel.
4. Some of it.
5. Monsters.
6. Hippie radio.
7. Higher wire.
8. Desperate man.
9. Solid.
10. Jukebox and a bar.
11. Drowning man.

And that’s a wrap for the track list.  And on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I would give this album a 4.5 out of 5 stars.  I wished Eric would have gave us more music on this album.  And since it was such a long wait in between music for Eric.  But I know I did truly enjoy this new cd.  Thanks as always for taking the time to read this review.  See ya all next time.
