MSR – Keith Urban – Graffiti U

MSR – Keith Urban – Graffiti U

So today on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I will be talking about the latest album from country music superstar Keith Urban.  The album was released on April 27th, 2018 and is titled “Graffiti u”.  Which will also be the title of his world tour.  Also joining him on his world is Kelsea Ballerini.  And her big hits are “Love me like you mean it”, “Peter Pan”, & “Legends”.

Now more back to Keith Urban and some of his career highlights.  Keith Urban won the vocal event of the year at the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs) with Carrie Underwood for the song “The fighter”.  And had major success for his song “Blue ain’t your color”.  Other songs we may remember from Keith Urban are “Wasted time”, “Making memories of us”, & “Days go by”.  Just to name a few but there is so much more from this former American Idol judge.

But now back to this new album that has 13 tracks with 2 intros.  The lead single on this album was a song called “Female” which featured his wife Nicole Kidman as the background vocals.  And then the next single for the album was a song called “Coming home” which also features Julia Michaels.  There are so many standouts on this album.  Like “My wave” featuring Shy Carter, & “Drop top” featuring Kassi Ashton.  And having “Criminal” singer Lindsay Ell join him on “Horses”.  And the song “Gemini” which you know is about his wife.  "Parallel line" was featured on Sirus XM on the highway (Channel 56).  And I think the standout song for the album was “Texas time” which was a kind of tribute to the gentle giant Don Williams.

And now time we see the track list for this album.

Track list.
1. Coming home (Featuring Julia Michaels).
2. Never comin down.
3. Same heart.
4. My wave intro.
5. My wave (Featuring Shy Carter).
6. Parallel line.
7. Drop top (Featuring Kassi Ashton).
8. Way too long.
9. Horses (Featuring Lindsay Ell).
10. Gemini.
11. Texas time intro.
12. Texas time.
13. Love the way it hurts (So good).
14. Female.
15. Steal my thunder.

And on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I would give this album a 4.5 out of 5 stars.  It is good album and a lot of good songs off of it.  But maybe try staying away from the rappers in country music.  Let’s keep country music country. But that was the only complaint for this album.  The rest of the album was great. Thanks for taking the time to read this review.  See ya all next time.
